The short version

Travanity is a free travel vanity — a mirror, a light, and a link to TowFi roadside help. It has no accounts, collects no personal information, and tracks nothing. The mirror's camera video lives briefly in your phone's memory and is thrown away constantly; it is never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere.

What Travanity does

Travanity turns your iPhone into a travel vanity: a delay mirror that replays the back of your hair and outfit when you turn around and back, a screen-based ring light, and a whole-screen travel light with Red, Flare, Hazard, and SOS modes plus torch control. It also links to the separate TowFi roadside assistance app. Travanity is built by Belmont General LLC (doing business as Belmont Labs), the company behind TowFi and RunGo Maps.

Data we do not collect

Travanity has no user accounts, no sign-up, and no login. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

Travanity does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and Belmont General LLC operates no servers that receive anything from this app.

The camera and your mirror image

The mirror works by keeping roughly the last twelve seconds of camera video in your phone's working memory so it can replay your back view. That video is continuously discarded as new video arrives. It is never written to disk, never uploaded, and disappears completely when you leave the app.

When you tap Save on a frozen frame, one picture is added to your photo library using Apple's add-only access — the app can put pictures in, but can never browse, read, or delete anything in your library.

Microphone and speech

Voice control is optional and can be turned off at any time with the mic button or in Settings. When it is on, the microphone is used only while the app is open, solely to listen for short commands such as "more light" or "show me again."

Speech is converted to text by Apple's speech recognition. On iPhones that support on-device recognition, this happens entirely on your phone. On devices that do not, audio may be sent to Apple to be converted to text, subject to Apple's privacy policy. Either way, Belmont General LLC never receives your audio or transcripts, and nothing is recorded or kept.

Data that stays on your device

The app stores a small amount of data locally so your preferences persist between sessions. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us:

You can erase all of this at any time in the app's Settings under "Delete app data," or by deleting the app from your device.

Third-party services and links

Travanity uses no third-party services during operation. The app contains outbound links to the TowFi roadside assistance app on the App Store, to towfiapp.com, and to travanity.com. Those destinations are separate from this app and are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

Children's privacy

Travanity does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app contains no accounts, social features, or user-generated content.

App Store privacy label

In accordance with Apple's App Store requirements, Travanity declares that it collects no data linked to your identity and no data used to track you.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and change the effective date above. Continued use of Travanity after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
